Looking ahead

As we have just stepped in 2025 the Archivorum ARK team reflects on next project goals and achievements so that each member shares their aspirations for the year ahead.

We look forward to sharing ideas and thoughts with you!

Nil Yalter and Anais on the train to Geneve

Anaïs: This year, I wish for Nil Yalter and myself (and the rest of the Archivorum team!) to share meaningful moments of exchange and work. While the first year was dedicated to completing the inventory, this one is all about writing and publishing the book—another very important step. It’s a bit dizzying to think that in about a year, a book will come to life, but we’re well-supported, and I believe we have the right tools and, most importantly, a solid foundation to build on. I can’t wait to see the result!

This project is a rare opportunity to capture a glimpse of Nil’s work and make it accessible in a new way. The process of assembling the book is both exciting and humbling, as it requires us to distill a vast and rich body of work into something cohesive. I hope the final result reflects the depth and complexity of her practice while remaining true to her vision. More than anything, I look forward to seeing how others engage with her work through this new lens.

Christianna: I hope the New Year brings renewed energy and inspiration for the journey ahead with Babs Haenen and the Archivorum team.

In 2025, one of my key resolutions is to complete the critical publication that captures the depth and complexity of Babs’ artistry. It’s exhilarating to think that by the end of this year, this vision will transform into a tangible piece of art and research.

As my two colleagues and I, along with their artists, dive into this process, I hope it continues to ignite meaningful exchanges within our team and beyond, connecting people to the work and stories of renowned artists. Let’s welcome a year of growth, creativity, and shared inspirations—one that celebrates the beauty of preserving and honoring art while looking forward to its evolving legacy. I can’t wait to see what we create together. Cheers to 2025!

Rossana: I look forward to continuing this opportunity to build together, engage culturally, and grow collectively.

May our project remain a laboratory of dialogue and action—cultivating ideas capable of leaving a concrete and meaningful impact, eventually. May this intergenerational exchange, which has characterized the project, keep the passion for change alive.

Let the work of artists continue to spark inspiration, fuel critical thinking, and serve as a driving force for creating a transformative future and a cultural impact.

Belen Uriel and a cup of coffee

Stephen: It might be a cliché, but I have a feeling 2025 might be “MY” year. With the conclusion of the project towards the end of the year, I look forward to working closely with Belén Uriel for our critical publication of her archive. The past few weeks have offered me a rare moment of reflection and appreciation. Finalizing the inventory of the archive has been a grounding experience, allowing me to see the breadth and depth of what we’ve built over the past year.

Looking ahead, the process of creating this critical publication feels like the next great challenge and an extraordinary privilege. It’s an opportunity to distill Belén’s body of work into a thoughtful and accessible form, capturing not only the essence of her artistic vision but also the dialogues and ideas that emerge from her practice.

I hope this publication resonates with readers, sparking new connections and insights into the mind of the artist. As 2025 unfolds, I’m ready to embrace the challenges and rewards that come with seeing this project through to its conclusion. More than anything, I look forward to the conversations and discoveries that will emerge along the way—moments of collaboration and exchange that remind me why this work matters and how art continues to inspire and connect us all. Here’s to a year of creative breakthroughs and shared triumphs!
